Agrifood area focuses its activity on development and application of innovative technologies of molecular bioidentification, to add value to the whole chain of commercialization of agri-food and fish products.

The objectives are centered in development and marketing of products and services which allow to improve:

  • Food security.
  • Fight against fraud in agrifood industry.
  • Adding value to agrifood product marketing (differentiating food products and enabling their identification, even those traded in bulk).
  • Customer trust and satisfaction, providing a system to verify food authenticity and genetic-based features, before buying them.
